Our hearts go out to these communities along the entire west coast of Florida, South Carolina, Western North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky, where this hurricane’s wrath has left an indelible mark of devastation. The storm surge and flooding, particularly in Asheville, N.C., and surrounding area, have not only severely damaged infrastructure but have deeply affected and will continue to affect the lives of countless residents.
The path to recovery from this unprecedented and widespread catastrophe will be long and fraught with challenges. Yet, it will also be a journey of resilience and solidarity.
